NETS Program - Non Emergency Transportation Service Program
Tri River Transit NETS is a service carefully designed to meet
the needs of those patients whose medical conditions don’t
warrant the use of specialized medical equipment or treatment by
paramedics. For these individuals, transportation to a doctor’s
office, hospital, or care facility for evaluation or treatment
can prove a hardship to families, friends and caregivers. Tri
River Transit NETS can be pre-scheduled to come to the patient’s
location and transfer them to and from any medical care facility. We
provide service to Lincoln, Logan and Boone county residents. Everyone
is eligible to use this service regardless of age, disability or
income. If you are Medicaid certified, Tri River Transit
will bill Medicaid directly. The cost for others is based
on trip length.
Notification of Ride Requests
- Call to make a ride request as soon as you know the appointment
time. This should not be less than 24 hours in advance.

the Dispatcher all pertinent information needed to book a trip: name,
medical facility, date and time of appointment, directions to home. If
covered by Medicaid give your ID number, which consists of 11 digits. If
passenger is private pay the fare will be totaled by the bus/van driver and
paid by passenger, before exiting the bus/van.
- Inform Tri River Transit of
any significant changes in passenger condition, which may affect his/her
ability to ride on board a bus/van. This includes
deterioration in medical condition, the use of additional mobility aids
in transport, the need for an escort or family member to accompany the
patient
enroute, etc. The
escort will ride at no cost.
